Carménère Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine blend is predominantly Carménère with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon. Carménère produces a wine that is thick, dark and juicy; in small amounts it heightens the aromatics and texture of Cabernet. The grapes are sourced from our Estate West vineyard, which is a south facing hillside featuring rocky red volcanic soil. This vineyard block is certified sustainable and includes Estate West H Clones 1 and 2 and Estate West Q Clone 412..

Tasting Notes
Our Carménère Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of dark fruit, black pepper, vanilla, well-integrated barrel spice and earthy notes. The palate is bold and rustic with blackberry, clove, black tea. Complex notes of leather and tobacco compliment dense, rich velvety tannins that lead to a long lingering finish.
