WINEMAKER'S NOTES

In late October 2006, Chalk Hill’s Semillon vineyards exhibited a near-perfect infection of Botrytis, the ‘noble rot,’ with grape sugars reaching an average of 36.9 º Brix. This Chairman’s Club offering combines distinct aromas of orange spice, honeyed apples, dulce de leche and vanilla bean. The palate echos the nose, with flavors of poached pears, carmelized sugar, candied citrus, and delivers balanced acidity and texture, extending the flavors into a lingering finish.
