WINEMAKER'S NOTES

Densely layered in dark berry fruits, the 2005 Chairman’s Club Cabernet Sauvignon/Malbec is deliciously fragrant and lush. Bottled specifically for our Chairman’s Club, this wine is a special selection of ten of the very best Cabernet and Malbec barrels from the 2005 vintage, grown on the Estate’s most prized west-facing gravelly hilldside sites. To be enjoyed with leg of lamb or alongside an elegant cut of beef, the flavors are seamless and voluminous- juicy black fruits and brown spices linger on the palate alongside velvety tannins. Within its opulence, this wine portrays an elegance and complexity that speak of Chalk Hill’s unique growing conditions.
