2003 Estate Bottled Sauvignon Blanc

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

Our commitment to careful vineyard practices, including several cluster thinning passes and post-harvest grape sorting, assures only pristine fruit goes into this wine. Barrel fermentation (92%), followed by ten month sur lie aging with weekly batonage, provided this wine with great texture. The wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris (6%) and Semillon (16%). Malolactic fermentation was prevented to preserve the fresh grapefruit and mineral flavors, balancing the rich body and character of the wine.
