1999 Estate Bottled Merlot

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

At Chalk Hill, Merlot is no weak sister to Cabernet – carefully chosen vineyard parcels provide full body and extraction to our Merlot, which is made even more complex with the addition of small amounts of Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Big but balanced, this wine possesses a velvety texture with a core of blueberry and blackberry flavors, accented with clove and coffee.
