1996 Estate Bottled Merlot

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

After hand harvesting, this Merlot was produced in our traditional fashion. Only native yeasts were used to begin fermentation. After fermentation, the wine was racked into French oak barrels where it underwent natural primary and malolactic fermentations. Accented with Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, the final blend is complex, and possesses classic black cherry, currant, and cassis flavors, ripe tannins and a supple finish.
