WINEMAKER'S NOTES

We craft our Merlot with the belief that it can achieve the same power, weight, structure, elegance, and ageability as Cabernet Sauvignon. Even at fermentation, a deeply colored juice was already evident, and immense flavors were revealed. After fermentation, the wine was pressed and racked into new French oak barrels for maturation. Additions of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon at quarterly rackings heightened complexity and further enriched the mid-palate. Bottled unfiltered, this wine is richly hued and has deep flavors and structure along with a rich, lingering finish.
