1998 Estate Vineyard Selection Chardonnay

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

The soil at Oak Hill Block B is deep, the rootstocks mixed, and the budwood is Clone 4, the so-called “superclone.” This Block yields fruit that is concentrated and perfectly in balance. Its richness and structure demand extended barrel aging in mostly new French oak for added depth. This Estate Vineyard Selection is replete with ripe lemon, citrus, and exotic tropical fruit flavors neatly balanced with toasty oak. While its depth and complexity allow for long-term cellaring, the wine will provide immediate enjoyment
