WINEMAKER'S NOTES
A classic Indian Summer at Chalk Hill brought our Chardonnay to full ripeness in late September, and picking conditions remained ideal through October. Each vineyard component was vinified lot-by-lot and barrel-by-barrel until composed in a final blend in the summer of 2000. This Chardonnay features the mineral, citrus, floral and tropical fruit notes characteristic of the estate while also displaying the rich, creamy textures, the elegance, and the fabulous length and structure of the best Burgundies.
