1998 Estate Bottled Chardonnay

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

The 1998 Chardonnay was picked under ideal warm and dry conditions throughout October. The fruit was ideal, too, as the long, cool growing season allowed full flavor development, while firm acidity and reasonable sugar levels were maintained. This is perhaps one of the most elegant Chardonnays ever produced at Chalk Hill. The wine displays the tropical fruit and mineral overtones characteristic of the estate, and is delicately infused with citrus, pear, and honeysuckle.
