1998 Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

The results of a cool vintage such as 1998 manifest themselves in Cabernet Sauvignon of complexity, elegance and balance. The final blend was hand selected from only our best lots, chosen for ripeness, character and typicité (with over a third de-classified in this vintage). The remaining wine, we aged for twenty-one months in French oak, 55% of it new. This Cabernet Sauvignon has flavors of black cherry, red plum, currant and spiced earth, packed with leathery oak. Tannins are plush with mid-palate sweetness and the finish firm and broadly structured.
