Megan's Chapel provides quiet respite for those who enter the mission-style church. Inspired by the beauty of the site, Fred created a private family chapel in memory of his daughter, Megan Furth. The tower houses bells from the "Whitechapel Bell Foundry"- the same manufacturer who forged The Liberty Bell. Hand-hewn timbers, native Mexican tiles and volcanic rocks blend artfully with the earth-toned walls. The altar is a polished slice of an 8-ton boulder found on the site where it had rested for millennia. Pew end panels were carved from a magnificent windfallen heritage oak. These natural elements from the estate are testament to the beauty, power, and ultimate triumph of nature over human endeavor.
